Deemaks is a Canadian Open Format/Afrobeats DJ who began his DJ career just a few years ago. In this span of time, he has garnered an ever-growing worldwide fan base that eagerly anticipates each new mix and lively performance at their events. Deemaks is also a recent graduate from the Commerce (Honors) degree program at the University Of Ontario Institute of Technology in Oshawa, Canada.
DJ Deemaks has always aspired to be an Accountant but with so much passion for the art of DJing and an obsession with music and mixing tracks, he chose to follow his dreams while still attending school as a full time student and pursuing other aspirations.
He started off playing for fun at events for family and friends before taking it to the next level based on the overwhelmingly positive response to his effortless talent and ear for great music. His first mix released to the general public, NAIJA VIBES, became an instant hit that further fuelled his passion to invest in his talent. Subsequent successful releases include RUSH HOUR VOL 01 with over 10 million streams online and thousands of downloads. The RUSH HOUR signature mixes features top dance, pop, top 40’s & urban sounds.
Not forgetting his African roots, DJ Deemaks caters to his Afrobeats fans through the Afrobeats mix series which include NAIJA VIBES, AZONTO INVASION, NAIJA SOUNDS, GBEDUCATION, GIDI VIBES, AFROBEAT GROOVE MIX and many more. Some of his projects and mix tapes can be streamed and downloaded on this website.
DJ Deemaks has played at some of the high profile events in Canada including the yearly Harbourfront Hot & Spicy Festival, African Fashion Week After Party and many more. He has also entertained guests at wedding events within and outside of Canada.
