Frank Edwards – Now Versus Then
Frank Edwards is a major player on the Nigerian gospel music scene no doubt and I fell in love with his music from the start. His first songs I heard were “beautiful” and “you too dey bless me”. Songs in his album “definition” where on repeat. Then he dropped the album with mma mma and I along with millions of others got hooked. We became fans.
His new and more recent albums however do not sit the same way with me. The production quality is a lot better and all, but the lines, passion and lyrics that got me hooked with the first set of albums are just missing. So which do you prefer?
