How I made my first million pastor Leke Adeboye

In an interview with the School of Wealth (sow), pastor Oluwagbemileke Adeboye, son of Enoch Adeboye, the General Superintendent of Redeem Christian Church of God, disclosed that he made his first million by selling wristbands—rubber, to be precise.

While discussing the secrets to financial wealth, he stated “Everybody is trying to hit the guy on top, but forget the little thing”. He used a toothpick as a reference point, explaining the versatile need for a toothpick, and asked, Who is supplying the toothpicks?

He said that focusing on the little things can lead to big success. A cheap wrist band or toothpick may seem small, but when supplied to a large Christian audience with a profit of 50 naira, it can make a huge difference.

This statement caused a lot of reaction from Twitter users. Some perceived it to be a lie, calling it “pure balablue,” meaning lies; some defended him by stating the possibilities; others blamed religion for deceiving people into buying a wristband that could save their lives when it was actually created to generate revenue.
